Megan's Rocking Chair

This rocking horse has a long history. My grandpa (my Dad's Dad) made one for each of us grandkids when we were little. I am told that I played with it quite a bit as a kid. My mom managed to keep this through all of our moves, I didn't really think too much about it. Over time it was pretty beat up with a dog chewing on it and such.
Well, last Christmas (Megan's first Christmas) she received this as a gift. My Mom brought it to AR and hid it in the shed when she came to visit when Megan was born. My dad came for a visit during that same timeand when he was here the following week he took it back to TX with him. He sanded it down and repainted it and brought it with him when he came for Christmas that year. So needless to say I was quite surprised by the whoel thing! Of course Michael was in on it too. He kept a really good secret! Here are a few pictures of Megan on the rocking horse and just being goofy!

Play-Doh Fun

Megan had fun playing with the Play-Doh. By the time I thought about taking pictures she was pretty much done playing. Still cute though.

Megan in her Bithday Suit!

Here are a few Megan pictures from yesterday, I decided to let her run around naked before her bath for just a bit, it made her very happy! She is finally starting to say more words. She can now say mama, dada, bye-bye, more, no, poop (I know, ulgh), butt (another ulgh one), and she's also been mimicing us more frequently which is fun so she's said a few more words that way.
She's also now learned to completely shake her head yes but only if we ask her if she's hungry, she overexaggerates it to where to moves her whole body almost!

Megan Fingerpainting

It's been a while since we last fingerpainted so we decided to do that yesterday. She clearly enjoyed herself and of course put some on her mouth, luckily she didn't manage to get any inside!

Notice the lovely handprints on the table!

Just a close up of her fun!

Megan is getting so big...

Little People vs. Warcraft Characters

While my Dad and Susie were visiting some intersting things happened. The 2 ugly characters (symbolizing my dad and Michael) were constantly into trouble, tying each other up, stepping on each other, etc. So, I decided to get the Little People involved, as you can see from the pictures, they were victorious in the end! You never know what you will find at our house or on our blog!

Date Night!!!

Last night Michael and I had a date night! We had a very unique and inspiring experience that I wanted to share. As most of you know our budget is not what it once was so an actual date night where you go to a movie and dinner is quite rare. Well, we got to the movie theater and it was very very cold standing outside for tickets, a nice man in front of us offered to not only let us go on inside, he also paid for our tickets. He said "God Bless" and that it was his first act of kindness for the New Year! If he only knew what that meant to us!!! It's amazing the little things that we can do to brighten someone's day!
As for dinner, Michael's brother and Sister-In-Law gave us a very nice giftcard to Applebee's. So we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with appetizers, steak, chicken, Pepsi, and Hot Chocolate!!! We were able to do all of that guilt-free! On top of all of that my Dad and Susie volunteered to watch Megan so we could go out and enjoy ourselves! Thanks to everyone who made it possible!
