Coloring

Megan's new favorite thing to do is coloring. She is constantly asking us to color. It's definitely one of her favorite words to say that she can say very well...and cute of course. This table is wonderful and they can write directly on the table which has been a lot of fun (thanks G-Dad). Of course I know this will come back to haunt us one of these days when she colors at a different table! So far so good though. It's neat to watch Megan's writing and drawing develop. She started with just lines and she can now draw circles and loops and is starting to name what she draws.

Happy Father's Day

What an amazing dad. Michael is so good with Megan. He is one of those fathers who is hands on. From the very beginning he changed diapers, gave bottles, bathes, and anything inbetween. From the moment Megan was born he has devoted his free time and energy to her. These days he gives horsey rides, colors with her anytime she asks (which is every other minute), and does everything with the patience of a saint. He is truely one of a kind. These are some of my favorite pictures of Megan and Michael, I hope they give you some insight into the great father that he is!

Busy Busy

Here are a few pictures from the week. This summer I get to have Schyler over for a month or so while her mom teaches summer school. We stay busy going to the library, Runge (nature center), Barnes and Noble story hour, park, pool in the backyard, and playing in the fountain near Michael's work. I think their favorite activity is the fountain because we have a picnic and then play in the fountain. I'll have to take more pictures!
The following pictures are just a few snapshots of the week when I remember to grab the camera. The last picture of the girl is so cute. I was busy making lunch and went in the living room to check on them and Schyler was reading Megan the Dora stories. The first time they discovered this book they sat on my lap and read it cover to cover (150 pages). They both know the stories now so it was cute to hear Schyler's version of the stories and that Megan sat there and listened!!

Building

Here is Megan playing with blocks, she tends to build as high as she can reach while sitting, and then she finally decides to stand up to make it taller! The last picture is of a structure that Schyler and I built last week. She wanted a big fence for all of the animals so we had a lot of fun with it!

Painting our House...

We are getting ready to paint all of the rooms in our house. Megan loves playing with all of the paint swatches and papers. I plan to take before and after pictures of all the rooms, there is a ton to paint but we'll get it done eventually.
