Today I dressed the kids in their matching big sister/little brother outfits and had fun looking at them all day!
Jacob is growing like crazy. He is currently wearing size 9 month clothes and everytime I look at him he looks bigger! He is no longer swaddled because he is trying hard to roll from him back to him tummy and he is in his crib now because he kicks his legs so high they hit the top of the bassinet!
Megan is changing just as fast! She is growing up on us. She can put her clothes on by herself (with Mommy holding it the correct way), brush her teeth (spitting is still an issue!), help with brother (always getting diaper cream and diapers), wash her hands by herself, and the list goes on and on!
Jacob loves his activity mat (that I found for $5 at a yardsale!). He kicks the ball constantly and bats the other toys at the same time, the thing really gets moving! He also really likes to be down on the floor for tummy time and kicking time! Yesterday we brought up the exersaucer and he loves it, we thought it might be too early but he didn't really flop around so that's great!
The other day we went to the Runge and had a good time. Megan really liked the snake and had no problem getting nose to nose with the one in the cage! We also saw several tadpoles in the pond on our little hike so that was fun as well.
Here is a picture of the stones that Megan and I worked on this afternoon. We dug and pulled grass and weeds off the rocks to discover how big they are. Apparently we have a nice path across the yard, we just have to dig it all out first! I was a little surprised with how big the rocks actually are! Megan inspired this project because she pretends to cross the "river" by tiptoe'ing across the rocks just like her book.
