It's been a while!

We've had a few busy weekends lately. We went to Ha Ha Tonka State Park to hike and sightsee. Megan didn't care too much about the castle just pushing the stroller around. We also had a great time the weekend before that at Mermac State Park feeding fish and putting our feet in the water. I am a little mean, I like the part where you put the fish food right at the edge so the fish end up going for it and at the same time end going over the edge to the next section! This weekend we attended the football game at the highschool and a bbq for staff before that. The kids did a great job and seemed to enjoy themselves. Jacob was in the sleepywrap for the first half and ended up falling asleep until the band started playing. It was fun to see the football game up close. We left at halftime but found out that our team won the season opener! I think we may try to go to another game next week, we'll see!

In other news, Jacob is growing like crazy as you can see. He is now in a big carseat and 12 month clothes! Megan went to her open house for preschool and had a blast. I don't think we are going to have any problems. She really liked hammering! We also transitioned to a big girl bed versus her toddler bed. We found bunk beds on craigslist and love them. Pictures on the way!

At the Pizza Party Luke decided to give Megan a ride...a very fast ride!

Aunt Jenny and Jacob smiling for the camera!

We took a trip to the Lake and went hiking...jogging! Megan has enjoyed jogging everywhere she goes lately. She seems to have endless energy unless we want her to walk then she's bored and wants to be held!

These are cool marble pipes that go together different ways, unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the great marble races!

Cute, cute, cute!

Here is a fuzzy video of Megan dancing!

Megan's Pictures

Megan is starting to get really excited about preschool! She seems to sing all the time now, we really like the songs she makes up!

I will be starting back to work with PAT on Wednesday! I'm not sure where the summer went but that's ok, maybe next year will slow down :)

Here she is playing her clickstart computer. So far her favorite thing to do is make Pablo run into things he shouldn't, she really gets to giggling!

Ahh, the fun grow capsules.

Let the games begin! In this shot she is playing Wii Fit and hitting soccer balls with her head!

Run! Her first time in the sprinkler.

Here is a video of her singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Notice her "microphone"!

Jacob's Pictures

Things are busy here at the Dierking's! Jacob is really starting to move around on the floor. He has now outgrown his infant seat (he just turned 5 months!) which is going to make things interesting in the future.

Here he is stretching and he successfully made it to the rattle.

Ha, he's going to hate me for this one later in life! One of his favorite things to play with is Megan's dolls. She has been a great sport about it and even encourages him, I'm sure that will change with time! The look on his face in this picture is great, it's like he got caught!

He managed to get his paci in the wrong way!
Weeeeee!

Yummy food.

Smile!

Here is a video of Jacob manuvering across the blanket. He either has his face down and tush in the air or his arms up as far as he can go!

Megan's 3rd Birthday Party

Today was Megan's 3rd Birthday. She is so excited to be 3 years old. We all had a great time during the party. I think Megan's favorite present was chapstick...although she has been taking pictures like crazy.

Here is the cake. My mom and I worked hard on it and love the way it turned out. Everything on the cake is edible aside from the umbrellas. For the swimming pool cake we used blue sparkle icing, fruit by the foot, teddy grahams with chocolate faces and fruit roll-up swim suits, gummy life savers, and the list goes on! We used extra pea gravel for the swing set addition...just kidding it was chocolate that looks like gravel, the kids loved it! Make the picture bigger to see all the details!
Megan blowing out the candles, one blow for all 3! Everyone enjoying the wonderful weather outside, it was delightful.
The kids playing together in Megan's new sand and water table.
Grandpa with all the grandkids in the playhouse!
All the kids playing.
Megan taking the 100th picture of us.

A super cute picture of the two kiddos. I love their smiles!

Jessi's Birthday Party

Megan petaled Luke's tractor successfully, hopefully the trike soon!
Aren't they cute. Jessi's the birthday girl. They girls are a year apart and it is fun to see them start to play together!

All the kids at the party, poor Sarah (Jessi's other cousin) was stuck holding Jacob!

Jacob with the gals!

St. Louis Trip

Our trip to St. Louis was a blast. Megan had a great time and so did everyone else! We enjoyed staying at Ameristar, going to the Zoo, going to Grants Farm, and shopping!

Here is Megan reading the bible in the hotel!
Here we are waiting and waiting to get into Grant's Farm.
Here she is with the huge turtles
Ahh, Megan's favorite, the carosel
Here is Megan feeding the goats. They continued to try and gobble her skirt which was hilarious!
Yummy snow cone...and free beer at Grant's Farm!
Blue tongue!
Jacob has his knee up under himself! He is really working on crawling, yikes!
