The Magic House!!!

This past weekend we took a trip to St. Louis. It was our last mini-vacation as a family of four! We went to the Magic House for the first time with the kids. Michael and I both went as kids ourselves but that was a long time ago and wow have things changed! I really wish we would have taken more pictures. We stayed there and explored for at least four hours and the kids loved every minute of it. If you haven't been to the Magic House it's definitely worth the money. Megan and Jacob seem the perfect ages for the activities.

Here is Megan making a bubble dome. She made the biggest one while we explored the bubble room!
Ahh, to be inside a bubble!

There was a neat place where Megan caught a fish, went upstream and released it and followed it all the way back to the pond. The place was crowded and this is how she followed her fish...I was amazed she didn't get her hands stepped on! Jacob was busy playing in a car at this time!

Cheese!
Hmm, I wonder what Bob the Builder had for lunch!

Cheese!
The pictures didn't come out very well for this part, but I think this was by far Jacob's favorite part of the whole day! He was very reluctant to move on!

Megan and Jacob playing cars.

Imagine that...Jacob driving again!

Megan dressed up for construction!

Exploring cool air tunnels.

Last but not least, Megan's favorite part...the Beanstalk, she was able to crawl from one level to the next on the beanstalk while we climbed the stairs. The kids both had a spectacular time and we were wore out at the end of the day. There are so many activities I was a little sad we didn't capture more on camera but the memories are there! We can't wait to go back!
We also enjoyed our hotel and indoor pool! Megan overcame her fear of jumping in the water and is definitely looking forward to swimming lessons this summer!

Megan Video!

Megan coming down the slide!

Blizzard 2011

We had an official "blizzard warning" this winter. I can't remember ever seeing this much snow! The official total was 18" but so many snow drifts were everywhere.

Here is a before picture...well as before as I could get it! We still had snow left over from the previous 8 inches the week before and a layer of ice on top of that and then the fun fluffy snow on top of that!
The snow was just starting to fall and we had a blast getting out in it, unfortunately the ice made everything slippery and Jacob didn't care too much for it!

This is part way through the storm and Megan just couldn't wait to get out there and play, she kept falling down but didn't seem to care!

Her path to the pool.

More fun Megan in the snow!

After pictures, Jacob's beloved cozy coupe car is buried!

Megan's footprints are gone and the pool is totally covered!

Michael shoveled our drive forever yesterday and this morning, the piles he made are taller than he is!

This is the after picture, the pool is almost gone, handlebars are just showing, cozy coupe car is buried! The kids can't wait to get out there but of course they don't realize how much snow there really is out there! I'm sure we will have more pictures to come from the snow that will never melt!

Craft Time!!!

The kids have enjoyed this snowy winter with lots of play-doh and paint! Jacob is starting to draw and paint circles everywhere and Megan is starting to draw and paint real pictures and stories!

Here is Jacob working on hand prints! He loved painting his hands most of all I think!
His first real masterpiece.

Megan's painting of a sun, sunflower, and she ended up painting her whole name!

This was some fun times playing on daddy! They found the perfect seat. I really like this picture and of course it was fuzzy but it's still good!

Megan's first sewing activity, she's definitely a crafty person!
