Friday Night Sewing Club!

My mom has agreed to teach Megan and I to sew! I've started 2 other quilts in the past but I'm a perfectionist apparently and it drives me crazy when the corners don't match. So this time around I'm really taking my time. I'm making a quilt for Megan's animal room and so far it's looking good! Megan is making a quilt for Michael and she's loving her "lessons" and how fast hers is going compared to mine!
This is a great picture of the two of them!

Random January Pics!

Where has the time gone? It's been a crazy month with lots of snow and work and classes for me! No excuses! Sorry Dad!!! The kids are all about the same. Megan had a big girl moment a few weeks ago. We were on our way to ballet class and in a nervous voice she asked if she had to go. We were going to be early (for once) so I pulled over and had her hop into the front seat for a talk. We talked about it and she said it just really wasn't her thing and she'd rather not keep going. She was very worried about my reaction and her teacher Miss Alla's reaction. Although it was hard for me to let her quit, I knew that if I want her to be honest and come to me with these kinds of things in the future. After all was said and done she was relieved and proud of herself.

Jacob is as crazy as ever! He is such a funny kid, snuggling one minute and kung foo fighting the next! He's had more sweet moments lately with Emily. Our nightly routine has included Jacob playing the guitar and all of us singing while Emily's snuggling in her bed! We've signed him up for soccer so hopefully that goes well!

Michael has been a shoveling king this year. The snow and ice have just kept up! You can't tell in this picture but he had icicles forming on his beard!

Fun train track!

There's a cat on Shoney's back! Pete the Cat! Great book! We read and re-enacted the story for our preschoolers this month. If you haven't read these books they are awesome for kids and have a go with the flow theme!

Emily and her addiction! She was having a sweet time with snuggling her Minnie's the other night so I snapped a picture!

Where's Emily? She is a hoot. The other night she was drawing a face on a marker board and I told her to put two eyes...she kept drawing a line which was odd for her...after a few times it dawned on me that she was putting two "I's".

Sledding at grandma's!

The girls and Shoney have been really bonding more and more lately!

Megan hasn't played dress up in a really long time!

They even decided to dress Shoney up!

Lego fun!

What better place to play lego's than on the table!

Shoney and Megan are two of a kind! She loves reading and Shoney is a good listener!
