Grammy's Quilts!!!

My mom saw a need for the kiddos at my school who take naps daily. Kiddos mostly used towels that we provided for blankets before my mom got involved. She made over 100 quilts for students to use! Megan, Jacob, and Emily helped when they were at Grammy's too. Donations from family, friends, and Target helped finish the project as well! It's amazing to go into the rooms at rest time and see everyone cuddling up to their quilts!

Here are the quilts out for display before our assembly. Megan was able to skip a little school to come over and help present the quilts! A Target representative was also there to see it all in action!

It turned out that the gym was very very cold on the day she presented the quilts so we ended up handing out the quilts to students to snuggle up during our "Hard Working" assembly!

Shoney was able to get her own quilt too!

We re-enacted the Little Engine that Could for our assembly!

The quilts made the paper!

Allie is my friend's daughter who absolutely loves Shoney! For some reason the blog is turning the picture but oh well! It was a great time!

Laura's Baby Shower!

I had so much fun planning this baby shower for my sister in law Laura. I couldn't have done it without Sue and Jenny's help!
This was our gift to her, the basket kept growing and growing, lots and lots of books, cute clothes, and useful items for after the baby comes!

The theme of the shower was a children's book theme. These were the Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat cupcakes!

Each table was a different theme. This one was Clifford with Emily refusing to be photographed!

Pete the Cat!

Sue made the diaper cake and I love the baby pictures of both Laura and Jon!

Themed food: We're Going on a Bear Hunt for gummy bears, Harold and the Purple Crayon for purple candy, and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish for gold fish...complete with a fish net for scooping!

A Cat in the Hat table of course!

The main table was full of yummy food! We had The Very Hungry Caterpillar fruit salad, Hop on Pop pop corn, The Stinky Cheese Man and other Fairly Stupid Tales for cheese and meat tray, Brown Bear Brown Bear for bear cookies, A Fish out of Water for water bottles, and The Polar Express for a hot chocolate bar!

We played several games, guess when the baby's coming, guess how many candies in the jar, what's in your purse, and the baby candy game (match 100 grand to hospital bills, mounds to laundry, etc.)

Christmas Morning!!!

Santa had a lot of fun this year!

All three kiddos singing in the Purest Praise Christmas Eve program. Megan had a solo and rocked it!

My mom found this awesome site to make cheap puzzles from photos and each kiddo got their own puzzle!

Pop Pop and Susie Presents!

This is probably one of my favorite Emily pictures of all time!

Love these kids!

Cutie pie!

Presents from Pop Pop and Susie! Notice the eyes peeking out!

Group effort!

And out it popped!

A little fuzzy but still a great picture!

They are all happy and love this crazy big thing!

More fun times!

So proud! He can pretty connect and make anything he wants!

Emily really enjoyed decorating her own tree!

Megan was very particular with her ornaments!

Cheese!

We had the awesome opportunity to babysit my friend Nicole's kiddos including baby Jessie! The kids loved playing with her!

And I loved snuggling her!

Allie loved snuggling Shoney of course!

Emily and Allie are buddies!

Jacob also likes to build!

Rare opportunity for both kids to be happy!

Then the buildings get demolished by the famous Jacob the destroyer!

Christmas Parties and Fun!

Megan decorated a tree at her party and gave it to Jacob!

This is Jacob's kindergarten classroom. He is next in line for the game! He has learned so much this year and he really surprises me sometimes with his knowledge!

Christmas at Grandma Dierking's! Rare picture of Emily with a bow!

Grumpy Michael wouldn't smile!

But Emily was able to get a smile from Uncle Jon!

The kids loved hearing the older ones play their instruments, we were able to hear flute, piano, trumpet, and saxaphone! Jacob especially loved it!

Here we all are watching the fun!

The kids were patient waiting to open presents! They are looking older and older! Good thing Laura and Jon have a new baby to add to this crew!
