Catching Up!

Needless to say this last week our family especially me hit the lowest of lows. We've revamped our way to learn for the next month, I've taken a few hours to leave the house alone, and I was honest with the kids about my mental health and I'm calling the doctor to make some changes. My vices/coping strategies used to be eating, alcohol, shopping/browsing fun stores, and working more than I should. I can't do these things anymore with the quarantine and all 5 kids at home. I've started to make myself strength train now and go for walks. I'm a work in progress taking one day at a time! Thanks in advance for the prayers! I think we've made it over the hump but everyday brings its own challenges!

The local Foster Care and Adoption place gave away personal pizza making kits!! Im getting more for the future!

This is my masterpiece lol. There was a really good deal on shutterfly so i put a few favorites into a canvas collage! I also found a website that will take our fb pics and put them in a book so I am going to order the last 5 years here and there as we save money from not eating out.

Day 27-28

Sunday-Tuesday

Church Sunday we dressed up, sang along, and had a fantastic Easter Sunday!

Day 23-Happy Birthday Emily and Happy Easter!!

Today is Emilys 9th Birthday!! We started the day with finding Easter Bunny eggs in their rooms and Easter gifts. I'm not sure when we started giving them gifts but we are! The boys each got a garden shovel set and yes we are glutton for punishmentlol and a fishing pole (they seem to break them easily...could be the fishing from our deck lol). Emily got a garden shovel set and a super fun wizard set where magically new things appear after she does a spell! Jacob got $5 and toy planes. Megan got $5 and a wind chime. Megan is such an old sole with her interests! After all that fun we got a message that Grandma Dierking left Easter baskets and eggs at our door! Then after that I went to get Emilys requested Texas Roadhouse (really good deal!) and a hamster! After lunch I messaged a few family to join by zoom virtually for the celebration! Emily was so excited to have more people join! Grammy, Matt/Alicia, and Laura/Brandon/Jon were able to get on to join! Grandma Dierking called and couldnt get it to work on her phone and Jennys internet wasnt working and PopPop was working! I think we will try to zoom again as an extended family because it was fun! Emily was excited to get her hoverboard that she combined 3 groups of gifts to get! She was also super excited to get a suprise gift from Grammy of a new hamster Scout Junior (Scout Sr. met an unfortunate early demise!). Lots of fun was had today! Tomorrow is real Easter!!

Day 22-Part 7- Survivor Challenge Obstacle Course

Originally we were going to do this challenge in pairs but we decided to forego that part for our sanity! Emily and Michael still stuck together throughout it! The prize at the end of the journey was a box full of water guns. This was so much fun! I hope to make a photo book out of our fun weekend! Tomorrow we celebrate Easter and Emilys birthday!
