Megan and Schyler

Here is a fun picture of Megan and Schyler. It's so much fun to see Megan play these days!

Megan's First Haircut!

Here are pictures from Megan's first haircut! She's over two and a half and we finally gave in and went to get her hair cut! She sat there in the chair completely still with a funny look on her face...until the end when she yelled lollipop because she saw the lollipop's on her way in!

Cutting and Gluing

It has taken a while to figure out how to upload from our new camera. I now have to upload 1 picture at a time and it takes 2-3 minutes per picture...grrr (that's with Michael's new computer and cable internet...grrr). Anyways, that is the reason that the blog hasn't been updated as frequently, hopefully I can figure out a better method soon! Thanks for your patience! Well, these are pictures from January when Megan started cutting and gluing. It's crazy that she's doing these kinds of things already and she loves it. She asks to cut and glue all of the time now! Her technique has improved and it's neat to see the progress.

Shaving Cream Fun!

One of the Parents As Teacher's actvitities is to play with shaving cream to stimulate sensory play. Megan absolutely loves this. She requests to do this more than fingerpainting now! She enjoys having her animals make tracks, fall down, take baths, etc. The animals and the table get really clean this way as well! She also writes in the the shaving cream with her fingers. It's so fun to see her grow and change. She is starting to say what she is "writing." Today it was a list of things she thought we needed (new pants, couch, blueberries, hat, tv(thanks to daddy's input), etc.

Megan's Explorations!

Schyler was over and the girls had a blast. Megan really got into her "jungle gym" (as she calls it). They raced top to bottom, they would climb up top and say it was raining and then slide down and watch a movie from the bottom part. It was really neat to see the girls play and for Megan to explore. She's still a little unsure about the slide but I think that's because it goes so fast! Once she goes down she loves it of course.

Pop Pop's Big Surprise

My Dad decided to get Megan and future children a big playground set for the backyard. He ordered it on Saturday after Christmas and the shipping said about 4 weeks. After reading some of the reviews of the product on Sam's I read that some of the people received theirs in 3-4 days. So the wait was on! I estimated Friday and sure enough it arrived Friday afternoon. Dad and Susie were scheduled to leave Saturday and the estimates were that it takes at least 2-3 days and 30 hours to put this thing together. Needless to say they didn't leave until Monday morning! Susie and I organized the many boards for the guys, my mom watched Megan and played with her, and the guys worked like crazy. On Saturday it was 65+ degrees and gorgeous outside so we were all outside most of the day. On Sunday it was a high of 25 or so and of course the guys were pretty much on their own and us women looked out from the window! Megan had a blast and is loving every minute. We are planning to put pea gravel in around the play set to make it a bit more safe. This weekend Michael is planning to anchor it down and hopefully next weekend we can get the landscape timbers around the play set, then the fun really starts with using wheelbarrows to put the pea gravel in! Michael has his work cut out! A few of them decided to give the slide a try and my mom goes super fast, she flies off the end! The playground set is something Michael and I wanted for our kiddos but it would have probably been a few more years so it's exciting to look out and see this thing in our backyard!
Thanks Pop Pop.

Random Megan Pictures

Here are a few pictures of Megan's activities. The first one is her making jingle bells. she was able to put the glue on and connect them all by herself. My mom and Megan had a blast. She also started making necklaces and ornaments over the holidays!

Here she is playing with all of her new animals. She left them alone for about a day and then out they came again! In this picture she is putting "lipstick" on them.
