State School of Character

Our school is the first early childhood center in the nation to be named State School of Character. We are paving the way for other early childhood centers and look forward to the national organization allowing early childhood to apply for national! I am so excited to be a part of this amazing school and the things we do each and every day!

My super good friend Nicole is the fourth from the left. Her daughter is holding Jacob's hand!

We were also featured on the cover of the district spring report.

Texas Trip...Part Three

We had so much fun at the "Thinkery" in Austin. The children's museum was hands on and we spent a lot of time there! We had a great time in Texas and can't wait to do it again!

The produce cooking section was super fun and the kids enjoyed sorting all of the fruits and veggies!

The kids especially loved the water room. The water was musical and awesome.

Jacob and PopPop made the tornado!

This was by far my favorite part. It is a water piano. The kids loved playing the songs!

Megan also figured out how to squirt Michael a time or two!

Emily wasn't sure about the little drips! The drips came down and if the drums were in the right places they played different musical tones.

This was the construction zone!

Cool ball rolling station!

Emily was smiling like this the whole time!

I love this picture with all the tiny tots painting!

Jacob made a cool design (the picture is on Michael's phone) and this was the beginning of the whole thing!

Parachute making and dropping!

Fun face painting!

Emily really didn't want to use her hands at first...then PopPop put his face on the other side and she went to town!

And then realized she had paint on her hands!

The light room was another fun stop. This is like a giant light bright!

Megan really explored everything. There was also a shadow area with the bright light that was really fun!

Last but not least was the band!

Emily was not happy that she had to leave!

Megan and Michael

Michael and the girls!

Michael and all three!

This is one of my favorite pictures! Everyone had a great time!

We finished the day with Smash Burgers where Megan could eat the fries and had a yummy chicken sandwich! Emily was a big fan too!

Texas Trip... Part Two

Susies grandkids gave Jacob two bags of race cars that the kids played with throughout our visit!

Rare photo of me and the kids! It's fuzzy but that's okay. They all decided to pile on top of me!

Here is Emily snuggling with PopPop while Michael looks on!

One of the days we played at the mall and PopPop treated the kids to a train trip which was definitely a treat! We also played at the bounce house for most of the day and they loved it!

The kids helped make "Mummies" or "Mommies" as Emily likes to call it!

Susie was helping Jacob get his just right!

Megan loved cooking and we've made these "Mummies" since we've been back too!

Texas Trip...Part One!

We went to Texas over spring break to visit Dad and Susie. We had a blast and the kids have been begging to go back again soon! They loved hanging out with PopPop and Susie and really loved their garden!
The first morning the kids decided it was time to work in the garden so they helped PopPop get everything ready.

I love this picture of Emily with her tongue hanging out working hard to dump the bags of "dirt!"

Megan found a ton of snails and had a blast making homes for them and collecting them!

Emily was a watering queen (tongue still hanging out!)

Jacob's favorite part was digging in the dirt and running his race cars all around! This was in March...I got a call a few weeks ago in May that PopPop found one of his cars still buried in the garden!

Emily watering again!

Megan showing Emily her prized possessions!

Here is everyone digging holes for their tomato plants.

Emily and PopPop planting her tomato plant!

Megan could garden all day everyday and intends to have a garden at our house this year too!

Here they are working on seedlings for the garden.

Emily and Megan poking holes for the seeds to go in!

More random!

Megan can eat corn on the cob! This was our first time eating out and it was for Jacob's birthday!

Megan's crazy hair for crazy hair day!

This is the last picture of our kids in the squished car before we got our van!

Emily is biting at the bit to go to gymnastics and loves going on the low beam during Megan's class!

Megan has enjoyed her "ipod touch" and at times enjoys sharing it with Jacob!
