Jacob's 2nd Birthday!!!

Jacob is officially 2 years old now! He is growing like crazy and is huge for his age. He wears a 3T/4T, size 9 shoe, and is just a big kid. His shoes are the most annoying because he goes through them so quickly. He had his well check today and he is off the charts for height so the Dr. put it at 99th and 50th for weight.

He continues to work on talking and has about 15 words he says regularly, he seems to be catching up with language every day. Last night we officially got rid of the pacifier. We will see how this plays out with car rides and church but we know it's for the best. Poor Jacob has all kinds of transitions, no paci, big boy bed in Megan's room soon, and he is showing some interest in potty training (we are holding off on this one until summer!). He is "all boy" as they say and really enjoys his cars, train, and tractors...basically anything with wheels! His other favorite thing is to snatch the only Tinkerbell spoon so that Megan can't have it...he's already showing what a fun brother he can be!

As for the party, we had a tractor theme. We had family and friends over and Jacob seemed to really enjoy himself. Megan had a blast too because she had 3 of her friends there too. The girls played dress up and stayed busy the whole time.

Here is Jacob on his prized possession...his new bike. We were on the fence with this purchase but he absoluntely loves it. It's called a balance bike and kids learn to use their balance and they say the transition to a real bike is a lot easier than the transition from training wheels...we'll see! After getting his bike he spent the rest of the day on it riding it all over the house. The next day we took the kids to the track across the street and he rode his bike around once...probably twice if you add up the back and forth business he did! I'll try to get a picture of him carrying his bike too, it's crazy to see!

I forgot about the party favors and Megan found them after all the kids had left...so the big kids decided to have a little fun too...more pictures to come of this because it was hilarious!

Jacob and his friend Sophie sharing a cute kiss! They've never done that before (that I know of!) but the kids were all laughing and cheering so they did this repeatedly!

Here are a few of the kiddos at the party enjoying cake!

OK, so the cake...I usually go all out for the cake and I had grand plans of making a hay ride trailor attached to Jacob's actual tractor. The plan was to make the trailor and hay bales and put pictures of all the kids in attendance on the hay ride...but as it turns out I just didn't have the energy for all of that so Jacob has a different cake, it's still cute but I owe him big next year!
