Vacation-Day 8

This was the last day of vacation! It rained the whole way back! We decided to stop at Branson landing on the way back to break up the trip and had a good time. The kids favorite store is Bass Pro and they each picked out a souvenir...they all picked wolves and said they were a wolf pack! We made it back and the kids wanted to have another sleepover. I hope they stay close forever!

I bribed them with ice cream to get these pictures!

Vacation Day 7

Today we looked at the Greers Ferry Dam and fish hatchery. The kids loved seeing the fish try to swim into the drains, they can jump really high!

We were rained out for a little bit but managed to get the kids into the pool for a little bit! Michael was a trooper and got in with them...I sat on the side covered up with their towels, it was chilly! Emily's favorite thing was to use the water ball to squish water on michaels head!

Vacation Day 6

Today we decided to drive back over to Mountain View so Megan and Jacob could go on a longer harder cave tour. They were super excited when we talked about it in the morning! Emily and I had some girl time!

Emily meanwhile was getting her first manicure and loving every minute! She was the sweetheart of the shop and everyone was amazed by her patience!

She's definitely going to high maintenance someday !

And of course we ended the day with swimming ! It was chilly because of a thunderstorm ealier in the day but the kids were determined to swim! I think Emily looks old in this picture!

We have a beautiful view from our place and the pool. We've pretty much had the pool to ourselves and have loved it!

Vacation Day 5

Today we relaxed a bit more and it rained in the afternoon. We started the day relaxing with eggs and bacon then set out for strawberry picking! It started out good but went quick and the younger 2 wanted to stay later! We spend a large part of the day in the pool which the kids loved!

I made pepperoni/Canadian bacon casserole while it rained and the kids colored, played games, and wrestled around!

Earthquake!!!

Today we also had a 3.8 magnitude earthquake here in fairfield bay! Unfortunately the girls and I were napping but the boys were up and felt it! Craziness!

Vacation Day 3

We decided to take the trip to Mountain View to go to Blanchard Springs. Megan loved every minute of the cave tour, Jacob was scared at first but got over it and loved it, Emily kept saying she wanted to go back! The springs were beautiful and we managed to fish and swim there too!

Megan was in heaven fishing. She still hasn't caught anything just yet but I think the time is coming soon!

She would have fished all day if we let her!

Jacob did a great job too. He didn't even mention the last time we fished !
