Pumpkin Patch

We took our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch and as you can see it was a hot balmy day which was weird for the middle of October! We met up with friends and had a blast!

Random

Jacob absolutely loved soccer! He really started becoming more aggressive and going after the ball towards the end!

Emily and McCoy watching their big sisters play soccer! Megan also really loved soccer this season and improved lots!

The kids getting a game of Sorry in with Michael!

Shoney snuggling with me while I finished some homework!

Emily snuggling with Shoney!

Crazy eyes!!!

Family Reunion

In October we traveled south to Jackson Missouri for our family reunion which happens every 3 years. We had a blast and wished there was more time to visit. During the reunion they also had the Lutheran Saxon festival which was amazing.

During the evening hours there was lots of gaming time to be had!

Emily and Emma looking cute together!

Waaaaaay Overdue!!!!!

Okay so this is the longest we have ever went without posting on the blog, it's embarrassing actually but we are back on track and moving forward! The biggest thing that has kept me busy is now complete and I'm officially a Mizzou graduate with my "Educational Specialist in Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology" with a focus in Mental Health Practices in Schools. I don't know what I'll do with my time but I plan to do lots with the kiddos and read fun books that have nothing to do with mental health issues!

The kids and I had a fun day enjoying the capital statues. Megan was the most interested in getting her picture taken!

Of course her favorite part was finding the 10 Commandments!

Cheese!

The kids loved playing in the leaves too!

Here is a cute picture of Emily and her best bud McCoy in Sunday School!

Marathon and 5K

This weekend (Oct 5th) Michael ran his 3rd marathon and Megan ran her 2nd 5K race. We were in St. Charles for the MO Cowbell marathon and 5K and had a lot of fun.

Here is the duo before race time.

Megan posing for a picture!

I love this one because she was getting ready to race and I caught a picture of her real smile before she could completely look away!

More smiles!

Here is Michael pre-race but post-fall. He was trying to climb over a tall fence when his foot got caught and he fell bloodying his hand, twisting his foot, and rattling his nerves all 2 minutes before the race starts. He still managed to run the marathon but because of the crazy ordeal it wasn't in the time he had hoped for but he still kept it under 4 hours. He's already looking towards the next one!

A selfie of Megan and I before her race. Also this is how high the fence that Michael went over!

The proud finisher! She managed to to run her 5K in 35 minutes 59 seconds and that's all by herself without anyone helping her pace herself or giving encouragement!

The duo afterwards before changing!

Here they are with their medals, shirts, and cow bells!

Action shot!

After the races.

He was showing off his hand!

Megan in action!

Pumpkin Fun!

We haven't made it to the pumpkin patch just yet but the kids were anxious to carve pumpkins when Kambry came over! I think we are starting a tradition because this is her second year enduring the pumpkin carving with our crazy family!
Here is the group shot of the pumpkins.

Let the carving begin!

I think I bribed Jacob for this picture!

Notice the girls practiced their pumpkins before drawing on the real thing!

I love this pouty face! I remember seeing a picture of me just like this at a birthday party when I was Emily's age!

It was short lived!

Needless to say the pumpkins were a big hit and the kids had a blast!

Wow! This school year is kicking my butt!

I know, I know, it's been way too long! Truth be told if Blackboard wouldn't have crashed I wouldn't even be posting pictures now! I have 2 months until I am finished with school and I cannot wait because as I said, this semester is kicking my butt! Hopefully I can keep up a little better now that I'm at least posting a few pictures and typing!
Emily being a cute-E-pie as her new nickname insists!

This little cutie is my friend Nicole's baby. She is adorable and fun to hold...and then give back!

Here is our annual picture at the staff bbq and football game. Unfortunately a giant storm was rolling in so we weren't able to get our normal picture but this one is good.

They are in the zone!

Here we are at a soccer game (which is another reason I'm going crazy!). Megan found something bug-like and is showing it off!

Emily and her buddy McCoy are enjoying some silly games like always!

Here she is being silly while waiting for Megan at soccer practice!

Ignore my arms and just look at that bundle of sweetness on me! She konked out and I loved it!
