PAT, Water, and Potty Stories!

This past week has been very busy. On Saturday I had the end of year Carnival for Parents as Teachers. I volunteered to do bowling because I thought it would be the least expensive activity. Well, I didn't think about the bending over to reset the pins (empty water bottles) for 4 hours straight. The kids loved bowling and kept coming back for more. Needless to say it was exhausting, and I didn't really get to talk with my families. The worst part was I didn't have a chance to drink a lot of water and so afterwards I was vomiting all afternoon and evening. It was not fun. On the bright side I felt better by the time I went to bed and I learned a very valuable lesson! No bowling for me next year! As far as my job is converned I will be coming back next year and I'm looking forward to it, everyone says the 2nd year is so much better, less stressful, I hope they're right!
We also managed to take Megan to a quiet little stream that was really shallow. She went charging in full steam ahead! I had to hurry up and grab her hand! Unfortunately the water was still chilly but she didn't care, we made her get out every minute to warm back up and then she'd charge out again! This summer will be so much fun! She is an outdoorsy girl which is great. Everytime we go out the door she wants "water" or "lala" as she says it. We are looking forward to time in the water soon!
The other exciting thing that happened tonight is that she decided she wanted to go potty before getting ready for bed. We thought she was just trying to put off going to bed. So we let her sit on her potty and sure enough, she went pee! So far it's all on her terms but I think we will have to start getting serious about this potty training business! She's showing us that she's ready! We've had the potty in the bathroom since Christmas and until this last month she's used it as a seat to sit on. Now she's actually using it! We are going to try and be relaxed about the whole thing so that hopefully it won't be too stressful!
