Here is a fun picture of Megan and Jessi!
Another fun girl picture...what you don't see is Emily next to Jessi with her dress in the air. For some reason she thought it would be funny to raise her dress each time someone tried to take her picture...oh my!
The kids all huddled around snakes. Needless to say our kids definitely remember last years fiasco and snakes and one round of sparklers for the girls were the extent of the kids fireworks.
She was brave at grandma Dierking's!
Emily thought about a sparkler!
After we got home Thursday night and tucked the kids in big booms from our Holts Summit fireworks started up...and the kids all ran out (except exhausted Emily!). They loved watching the big pretty lights!
Day of the BBQ and a picture of the girls table! My mom fits right in!
Picture of the boys table!
A quick game of whiffle ball before the fun begins!
Michaels "before" structure that he built rather hastily this year!
And the after picture...the fort was strong until a number of tanks and who knows what else attacked it!
Uncle Jon's before picture! I think they decided to name it "Bertha"! It looks all sweet and innocent.
And then destruction takes over!!!! The actual final picture was unrecognizable. This one reminded me of the scary clown from "It!" Luke and Adam loved blowing things up and had fun with the big boys!
Michael told Jacob he could have a cookie...what he didn't realize is that I made a giant cookie with the leftover batter at the end! I think Jacob was pleased with himself!
Megan's fortress of cups!

That's how the 4th is to be celebrated. It makes my heart warm. reminds me of what my family used to be. I am so happy to see it carried on with family. And thank you Michael for being a big part of it!
