Michael's Birthday Celebration!!!

We celebrated Michael's birthday this weekend and had a great time! We were able to surprise Michael with a new bike and he was actually surprised.

They had the fun candles that never go out!

It was extremely hot and humid so the kids ended up in the pool which was not planned!

Even Jacob had a little fun!

Michael's mom picked the correct paci for Jacob!!!!! We tried 4 different kinds without luck but he seems to like this one taking it at various times. This is a great picture of Sue and Jacob with him dozing off to sleep! We also received our new lovies, we ordered 3 (duckie, tiger, and hippo) and he seems to like them again. We aren't responsible parents though because we left the tiger lovie out at their house. We have to do better!

Cute Pictures

Here are several pictures that I have been trying to get on here! We went to Lion's Club park in Rolla this week and had a blast. It was super hot and humid but we played anyways. Poor Megan, she turns bright red after a short time in the hot weather. She was exhausted!

He loves his fingers. This week without the lovie has really been interesting. He has found his thumb and doesn't want to give it up. Luckily today we received the new lovies in the mail!

We went to Little Splashers which is a small area for kids to play in the various fountains and sprayers...can you guess Megan's response? She spent maybe 5 minutes in the water and that was only because Grandma Dierking went in with her! This picture was a rare smile! Hopefully next time it will go better because she loves the water so much!

School House Rock!

Megan and I attended a local production of School House Rock and she absolutely loved it! She actually watched the whole thing and when it was over immediately asked when we can go to another show...I of course was thrilled. She loves musicals on tv but I didn't know if it would transfer over to real life! The show was cute with the kids singing and dancing but it wasn't the best show I've ever been to either. If Megan can sit through this one I know I can take her to any of them!!! During intermission she was able to run out her "wiggles" which worked out well! I'm so excited to have a partner in crime to go see shows with now! I've researched a little tonight and Music Man will be performed in Ausust and while we are in TX Suessical the Musical is playing at a local theater and Music Man is free at the outdoor theater. Now if only Jacob would cooperate! Michael said he enjoyed his time with Jacob getting great laughs but then Jacob got tired, hungry, and cranky...poor Michael. I will post pictures soon, we've taken a lot but haven't had time for the lengthy load times!

Ducky is Gone :(

We went to Central Dairy for ice cream today and somehow left ducky behind. We didn't realize it until 2 hours later...so I called. The lady said someone was asking if it belonged to anyone...but apparently they took it...who would take a kids lovie??? I feel aweful about it. I called all around Jeff City and Columbia and no one carries it so I have to order online and wait. I wasn't sure if Jacob was actually attached to it but tonight I found out indeed he was. It was pitiful, he kept reaching around trying to find it. Hopefully the replacement comes soon!

Here are a few videos of the kids doing fun things! Jacob is doing his exercises, it looks like it's in fast forward but it's not! Megan is playing tennis for the first time. The video is hilarious, I don't know who is funnier, Megan hitting the ball or Michael in the background saying "get it get it..." Definitly turn your volume up!

Our Weekend!

Here are several pictures from our weekend. My 10 year reunion was this weekend and we had originally planned to go because we thought Jacob would be on a better schedule and take a bottle, haha, we decided not to go and instead had a picnic and played at the park.

Here are a few cute pictures. The first one is funny. It looks like Jacob is just sitting there all on his own...actually Michael put him there and very quickly took his hands away while I took the picture! As soon as I pushed the button he was leaning over and Michael grabbed him again!

Here is Jacob playing at his favorite spot on the floor. He loves to grab turtle and is really starting to pull down!

Here is a video of Jacob practicing crawling! I tried to upload a longer, better video but it didn't quite work! He is really getting his legs up under him and at other times getting his arms up, once he gets the 2 together we are in trouble!

Here are pictures from us playing in Megan's kiddie pool. Jacob really likes it and it's nice to cool him off in the afternoons. He gets extremely hot around 4-6. Megan really enjoys it of course, she squeals with delight when it's time to go out to the pool! Jacob is showing us his smiles more and more everyday!

Here are several cute pictures from the week. As you can tell, Jacob is growing like crazy! He amazes us everyday with his abilities. Michael and I both heard him say "quack" clear as a bell 2 days ago, I'm not sure if we are going to count it as his first word but it was neat!
