Day 19

Another day of high highs and low lows. So tonights blog post will be the good, the bad, and the ugly!

Lets start with the bad and the ugly...3 of our children didnt listen to big sis Megan and went in the front seat of my car instead of the trunk and back seat to help get groceries...so they saw all of their Easter stuff or at least enough of it that I couldnt fib my way out of it. So today Ryker, Karsten, and Emily found out that the Easter bunny is not real...which then led to the bigger discussions of Santa and the tooth fairy and the elf on a shelf Fred. Karsten has been a skeptical kiddo with it all for several years but I knew if he knew the truth it would be over for the other two so I lied many times to him when he asked. On the other hand, Emily and Ryker were die hard believers and had a few more years. Today I explained as best I could about the magic of Santa and how they can continue on in their lives with the spirit of Santa. There were lots of sad moments, tears, ahas, and more.

Now on to the good...today was gorgeous and although some are afraid of walking outside because of the flying things (wasps, bees, bugs), 4 of them ended up outside a lot today. They invented a ride the wagon down the hill standing up game, played in the sprinkler, jumped on the trampoline, and more!

Im pretending these yellow things covering our yard are really sunflowers in disguise!
Jacobs newest invention with legos is a plant holder called Mr Plantee.
Ryker working on his math stuff from school!
Megan attempting to do a science experiment for school with pandemonium going on all around her!
Love this hammock! As I tried to relaxed the kids were going crazy!
After dinner Megan told the boys she'd go outside and play water guns and sprinkler with them...so they immediately tried to pull her off the couch to go!

Sprinkler time!
